What is this blog, nothing more than someone expressing his views. As someone born in the Fed city of DC, raised in the Fed city, worked as a Fed and now a retired Fed, I've had my cup running over with the Fed. So you could say I'm a true blue, or should I say true red so as not take political sides, a true Fed. Now for a comment.<br /><br />I'll start with the politcal scene. I'm researching when the last true patriot was elected to any seat in Washington. I'm having a bit of trouble finding that one person. The only one in my life time that comes to mind is Regan.<br /><br />Today's reps and senators are just career elected employees. What we have in Congress today are nothing more than power seekers who love the smell of money. It's amazing how much of the taxpayers money they will spend to stay in office.<br /><br />Look at the benefits, large pay checks, reinbursment for buying a home in the DC area, opting out in any govenment health care plan for the masses, and just recently limiting their work days to just 63 days per year. Who wouldn't want a job like theirs especially when you consider you do not have to do much except critize the current president or voice your support for the president, depending on which side of the political fence you are on. How nice it would be if a third party could come along and get a few of elected officals onto capital hill. It would shake up a few things wouldn't it?
